Terms of Service

The rules for using CricketNow, what you agree to when you sign up, and how Pro subscriptions and club payments work.

Last updated: 4 September 2026

Who you are agreeing with

CricketNow is operated by ULU Studio Ltd, company number 17259257, registered in England and Wales at Swan Building, 20 Swan Street, Manchester M4 5JW. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you are a guardian creating an account for a junior, you agree on their behalf. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information and is part of this agreement.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for keeping your account information accurate. Adults must create their own accounts. Players under 13 must be managed by a parent or guardian. Players aged 13 to 17 may use protected junior accounts with additional safeguards. You may close your account at any time from Settings.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, upload harmful content, or use CricketNow in a way that could harm players, clubs, guardians or the platform.

Your cricket and your content

Your record is yours. You are responsible for the information you add, and for having the right to add it, including anything you import from your own Play-Cricket export. You give us permission to store, process and display it so we can provide the service, and nothing more. You can download it at any time.

Public or official cricket data remains subject to the source that published it. CricketNow may display source links and provenance labels so viewers can distinguish source data, self-reported data and private notes.

Publishing and visibility

CricketNow is private by default. You are responsible for choosing what you publish. Do not publish another person's personal information, sensitive information, images or claims unless you have the right to do so.

Junior safeguards

CricketNow applies extra safeguards to junior accounts. Guardian controls, private defaults and public sharing restrictions must not be bypassed. See Safeguarding.

WhatsApp and the assistant

The WhatsApp channel and the assistant are optional. They use an AI provider to understand what you send, and they can make mistakes. Anything the assistant logs appears in your record for you to check, and the record you confirm is the one that counts. Ordinary message charges from your mobile provider may apply.

Pro subscriptions

Some features are part of CricketNow Pro, a paid subscription. The price and billing period are shown before you buy, and payment is taken by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from Settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not take access away early.

Changing your mind. You have 14 days from your first purchase to cancel and receive a full refund. Email support@cricketnow.app. After that, payments for a period that has started are not refunded, except where the law says otherwise.

Price changes. If a price changes, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.

During the beta, every feature is open and nothing is charged. We will tell you before that changes.

Paying a club through CricketNow

Where a club collects membership or match fees through CricketNow, the payment is between you and the club. The club sets the amounts, receives the money through Stripe, and is responsible for its own refunds and disputes. CricketNow provides the tools and is not a party to that payment. Club pricing for the club tools is published separately.

Beta access

During beta, access may be limited by waitlist or invitation. Features may change, move or be removed as the product is prepared for wider release.

Moderation and suspension

CricketNow may remove content, restrict accounts, disable publishing or suspend access where needed to protect users, juniors, guardians, clubs, the platform or the integrity of cricket records. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

Availability and liability

We work hard to keep CricketNow available and your record intact, but we cannot promise the service will never be interrupted or error-free, particularly during the beta. Keep your own copy of anything important; the download in Settings exists for that.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer. Otherwise, we are not liable for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. If a change matters to you, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can close your account before the change applies.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting the protections you have as a consumer where you live. Questions about these terms go to support@cricketnow.app.
